Areas of Experience

Higher Education Leadership

For the last decade I have been a higher education leader, serving as a manager, a senior manager, Director, and Associate Dean at the largest university in the United States. My work in these roles has spanned team leadership, program management, strategic planning, curriculum design, and partnership development. I am comfortable organizing and managing projects with valuations exceeding $2.5 million and serving thousands of students. I am known as a leader who delivers programs on time and on budget while introducing significant innovations.

Data Analytics

My background in scientific research and technology development has trained me to be a critical thinker who executes based on facts. Where facts end, I design experiments to test ideas. Data analytics is not only the focus of the university programs I develop, it is the core way that I think and behave. I have experience in all stages of the data analytics life cycle, including sourcing and cleaning data, exploratory data analysis, model development, data visualization and reporting, and deployment. I have applied these skills both within the higher education framework as well as to environmental concerns and questions.

Ecology and the public sphere

I am a committed environmentalist who is actively working to mitigate the effects of climate change. My efforts take the form of public testimony at Department of Fish and Wildlife Commission meetings, implementation of analytics and donor management systems for local wildlife nonprofits, and continued learning about the latest science and technology advancing ecology and environmental management.
