My career began in tenure-track academic research with postdoctoral and assistant positions in bioengineering and chemical engineering. I then transitioned briefly to consulting and then to higher education leadership, where I have been working for the past 11 years. I have multiple IT certifications and I have received awards in mentorship from multiple universities.

I am passionate about developing skills, both myself and in others. I accomplish this through both structured and unstructured coaching, mentoring, and formal performance management approaches.

I have led groups as small as eight and as large as 100 over my career, both in-person and in remote settings. I have also taught in these environments and I am passionate about meeting learners where they are. I believe anyone can learn if they are motivated to do so, and I employ different techniques to motivate learners.

I believe that the greatest opportunity and impact that education at any level can have is to highlight the ramifications of climate change and the existential threat it poses to humanity, and to train the next generation of leaders to develop and implement the solutions to mitigate these effects as much as possible.
